Speaking of stash, I’ve been pretty good about not adding to my fiber one. That is, until I finally got a chance to use a skein of Shepherd’s Wool from Stonehedge Fiber Mill. It was so soft and delicious to work with, I knew I had found the fiber I wanted to use for my next project:
February Fitted Pullover c/o Amy Herzog Designs
So I finally took the plunge and ordered some in colorway Lime Green:
I love it! I love that I’m supporting fiber mills in Michigan, my home state, that they’re producing such high quality stuff, and mostly that it is a wonderful springy color just in time for spring.
Now let’s hope I can actually get it knit up in time to wear it in the spring.
A special thanks goes to Deb at Stonehedge who sent me the yarn directly from the supplier when I couldn’t locate 6 skeins in the same colorway online. She saved my mother from going out in a snowstorm to track it down in Michigan.
Bonus! True life conversation that took place while I was unpacking the box:
David: What did you get?
Me: New yarn.
David: Oh, did you run out?
Me: Yes. How about you?
David: Yeah, I’m all out too!
Me: Well we’ll have to get some more soon!
Smart ass.
